The Bugli Company currently has 14 translators employed in Stockholm, including two translators authorized by the Swedish Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency. The Bugli Company Inc. was established by Ralph W. Bugli at the end of 1964 in New York City. One of the company’s first Swedish clients was Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken. Prior to forming The Bugli Company, Ralph W. Bugli worked as Senior Vice President at Doremus PR Agency, which was acquired by J. Walter Thompson the same year. Ralph W. Bugli was in charge of PR and English materials for Swedish companies at the Swedish pavilion at the 1964 World Fair in New York.

How well do you communicate your brand in other languages? Swedes are very good at English, but their use of the language is not as rich as that of a native English speaker. Managing Partner Born in London, Patrick Ronan has a BA (Hons) from Manchester University. He is a Public Authorized Translator from Swedish to English with more than 20 years of experience of translating corporate documents. Patrick is a member of the Swedish Federation of Authorized Translators (FAT) and the Swedish Association of Professional Translators (SFÖ). He specializes in financial texts, specifically annual/interim reports and prospectuses, and legal documents. Patrick is also something of a specialist in construction, banking and insurance.
Managing Partner Donald Hughes grew up in Dundee in the UK. He has qualifications in social science, marketing and languages from Ealing College in London, Napier University in Edinburgh and Humboldt University in Berlin. Donald is a Public Authorized Translator and has been with The Bugli Company since 1998. His previous positions have included teaching English at Humboldt and Greifswald Universities in Germany, and at Folkuniversitetet and Kalmar University in Sweden.
