Katie grew up in St. Catharines, Canada. She has a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Western Ontario and a B.Ed. from Queen’s University. Before moving to Sweden in 2001, Katie worked in real estate law, executive recruitment and board game research. After working as a primary and middle school teacher in Stockholm for five years, she decided to follow her love for languages and studied a program in translation studies at Stockholm University. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, reading books, taking in live music and playing board games of all sorts.
