Ruth McNaughton grew up in Kurri Kurri, New South Wales in Australia. As an exchange student in Ängelholm in 1976, she unsuspectingly began a lifelong relationship with Sweden. Ruth made a return visit to Sweden in 1989 and has lived here ever since. She studied English linguistics at Stockholm University and began working as a freelance translator in 1998. She joined The Bugli Company in August 2010. Her hobbies include reading, mosaics and baking bread.
